📖 How to build Breena, the Demagogue
Breena, the Demagogue is a 3-mana flying Warlock that rewards combat and political play. Whenever a player attacks one of your opponents whose life total is higher than another opponent's, the attacking player draws a card, and you put two +1/+1 counters on a creature you control. Since the trigger fires for any attacking player, including you, the plan is to steer attacks toward the opponent with the most life, growing your creature each time and filling your hand with cards.
Build around cards that create attackers, put counters on creatures, or change life totals so the condition is met more often. Phyrexian Arena can shift life totals to set up the trigger, and cheap removal such as Swords to Plowshares or Path to Exile can clear blockers so attacks get through. Reanimate and Demonic Tutor can help you recover or find threats. Toxic Deluge and Feed the Swarm are useful when you need to reshape the board.
Breena's weaknesses are that it needs attacks and an uneven life race to work, and the card draw is shared with whoever attacks. Your opponents can also profit from attacking, so you must control when they attack. The flying body is fragile, and removal on Breena stops the counter engine entirely.
