cEDH Tournament Report: Dack Fayden, Helping Hand wins La CASTanyada cEDH

Halloween night in Barberà del Vallès, Catalunya, belonged to the cEDH crowd. On October 31, 2026, 52 players sat down for La CASTanyada cEDH | La Competència, and when the dust settled, [IÑAKI] Guillem Giralt stood at the top. Piloting Dack Fayden, Helping Hand, Guillem finished with a 4-1-1 record, a line that shows how tight these pods can get when everyone is racing to find the first window.

The Top 4 made for a varied table. Alongside the winner's Dack Fayden, Helping Hand, we had Kinnan, Bonder Prodigy, the Kodama of the East Tree / Silas Renn, Seeker Adept pairing, and the Rograkh, Son of Rohgahh / Thrasios, Triton Hero pairing. How the winning deck actually closed out its games is unknown, as no win conditions were detected, so that part remains a mystery for now. Still, a 52-player field cut down to four such different commanders is worth a closer look, so let's get into the report.

How it plays & wins

This list plays as a white-and-colorless artifact stax deck, and Dack Fayden is barely involved. It opens with a heavy mana package: Sol Ring, Mox Diamond, Chrome Mox, Mox Opal, Mana Vault, Grim Monolith, Lion's Eye Diamond and Ancient Tomb. It uses that mana to land taxing or restrictive permanents like Trinisphere, Chalice of the Void, Rule of Law, Deafening Silence, Damping Sphere and The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale. Silence, Orim's Chant, Swords to Plowshares and Path to Exile let it protect its development or break an opposing combo turn.

The win condition is not clearly defined, and no combo was detected. The most likely route is slow combat damage once opponents are constrained. Urza's Saga constructs, Preston, the Vanisher and Tezzeret, Cruel Captain are the candidates. Boonweaver Giant can fetch an Aura like Eldrazi Conscription onto a creature for a large trampling threat.
