π How to build Imoti, Celebrant of Bounty
Imoti is a five-mana Simic creature with cascade, so casting it exiles cards from your library until you hit a cheaper nonland spell, which you can cast for free. Its second ability gives cascade to every spell you cast with mana value 6 or greater, so your big spells can chain into several free spells. The game plan is to ramp into expensive spells and let cascade generate tempo and card advantage.
Build around cheap ramp that reaches six-plus mana value spells quickly, such as Cultivate, Farseek, Nature's Lore, Rampant Growth, Kodama's Reach, Birds of Paradise, and Three Visits. Add Counterspell to protect key turns and Rhystic Study for card advantage, and include a solid top end of six-plus mana cards for cascade to trigger on.
Cascade is random, so you can't choose the free spell, and the exiled cards go to the bottom in a random order. Imoti only grants cascade to spells costing six or more, so it does little in a deck with few expensive spells. As a five-mana legendary creature, it is also exposed to removal before it generates value.
